FOOOOD

Okay, so my mom asked me if I would post something about all the different foods that I am eating here, so here it goes:

Breakfast:
-we always have 3 pieces of bread each morning (and lately we have been plastering them with nutella and peanut butter because we miss food from home!)
-we usually have an egg
-we have either cereal (corn flakes) or oats (slop) or rice porridge (just rice with extra water)

Lunch:
-we always have a hot lunch
-either rice and soup with pieces of beef in it
-rice with a chicken leg with red sauce
-noodles (which are actually from a noname Mr. Noodles package, so YUMMY), with a boiled egg
-yam fries
-ALWAYS have cucumber cutup, with carrots and beans

Supper:
-Chicken legs
-Always have rice
-Yams
-We have plantains sometimes (yuck) but Belinda now knows we don’t like them, so she has stopped feeding them to us
-We always have veggies too

Snacks:
-nothing.
We have learned the hard way that Ghanaians don’t snack. If they do, it is on some fresh fruit (which they usually have with our lunches as well). Don’t get me wrong, fresh fruit is delicious. But we would give anything for some baked goods right now. Cake, cookies, anything! We want chips, and lasagne, and MCDONALDS! Yum.
We were told to bring comfort food along with us, and we did, but we want to ration it since it has to last us 3 months haha.
