Just a Short One Today

Today was a more relaxed day...we only had a couple stops planned and one of them fell through. We went to Axis Human Capital where, Esi, the director gave us a huge rundown on Ghana; there culture, politics, religion, education, everything...it was super helpful and we got the chance to ask a ton of questions too! I had no idea how seriously Ghanaians took their weddings, holidays and funerals until I heard the details today!

We were home by midafternoon and were able to have lunch with Mummy. She made us beans (black eyed beans) with red sauce...don't ask me what's in it, but it's good...and I tried plantains for the first time. I am unsure how I feel about them...it's weird eating a fried "banana" when it's supposed to be sweet. I think it's all in my head, but I am sure I will get used to them!

Since the boys weren't home yet, Petra and I enjoyed some relax time. The next few days are going to be crazy busy, so it was kinda nice!

Ghana is playing for a spot in the quarter finals in the World Cup right now, and the finals will take place while we are here too, so that's pretty exciting!!! We are watching it with the boys right now :)

Tomorrow is gonna be a crazy day, and Friday we are leaving for a visit to Asamankese at 5am...so I will do my best to send updates, but might not get a chance until Friday or Saturday...
